Unschooling Research
Hello! I am not an unschooler myself (yet), but my husband was unschooled and I am very interested in it. I am a fourth year PhD student at the University of Minnesota who is interested in researching what it is like for people who identify as women to unschool their kid(s). My hope is to provide support and resources for women (current and future unschoolers) who consider their motivations for unschooling to be informed by feminist, progressive, and/or anti-oppressive beliefs. I would love to chat with women from around the U.S. who have unschooled their now adult children as well as women who are currently unschooling to gain some insight into what goes into deciding to unschool and what it is like in practice.
If you are interested in participating in this work with me (which would consist of three Zoom sessions over three months, totaling between 2 to 3 hours of time), please contact me via email at surre009@umn.edu .
