Welcome to the New Website!

I’m excited to announce the debut of the new JohnHoltGWS website. I’ve been working with a web design firm, Barton Creative, to make this site easier to find and use online and now it’s ready.

Blog posts, articles, essays, videos, audio recordings, learning resources, and other materials are clearly organized, and the Shop provides easy access to downloadable PDFs and print-on-demand paperback, hardcover, and Kindle editions of John Holt’s books, as well as other books published by HoltGWS. We have made all the back issues of Growing Without Schooling magazine easier to browse and purchase online.

I’m also trying to reach more young people and families to consider unschooling by creating a GWS TikTok page. I’m not sure what the frequency of the videos will be, but I’ll also post these videos on Facebook and YouTube, so keep an eye out for them if you’re interested.

I plan to post a new blog each week and a new newsletter once a month. My hope is that this phase of growth for Holt’s work is also the start of new initiatives and ideas for creating more fruitful partnerships among unschoolers, homeschoolers, and their local communities, as well as with public and private schools who want to complement our efforts instead of constrain them. Please share your thoughts and ideas with me about how to increase awareness and support for unschooling, as well as suggestions for adding resources and improving this site in the coming year.
